J.F. Shields High Basketball Teams Crowned Class 1A Region 4 Champions; Varsity Panthers Advance to Elite 8
The J.F. Shields High School Varsity Boys and Girls basketball teams have both achieved remarkable success this season, earning the prestigious title of Class 1A Region 4 Champions. Their hard work and dedication paid off as they moved forward to the Sweet 16 sub-regional playoffs for the state of Alabama.
The Lady Panthers, coached by Ms. Detra Odom and Ms. Quantus Jones, demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, overcoming fierce competition to claim their spots in this elite round of the state playoffs, but their season has now ended.
The Varsity Panthers, coached by Mr. Johnny Stallworth, Jr. and Mr. William Flowers, won their first round of Sweet 16, advancing to the Elite 8. The excitement and pride within the school and community continues to grow with high hopes for even greater achievements on the road to a state championship title.
